Considering the wisdom (so tired I nearly typed wiseness) of doing crossfit two days in a row for my first two days. But it all works out. It’s been quite some time since I’ve done some of these movements so I decided to do with with no weight with a bare bar. I’d call it a little wussy, but dying or tweaking something would set me back a bit. And for anyone trying it I’d advise getting the motion down solid before adding weight. The functional movement only works to your advantage if your survive the workout.

Today was what is known as a “hero wod” (workout of the day). And here it is. The idea is to do the Met-Con (metabolic conditioning) portion as many times as you can in 20 mins. I couldn’t do the prescribed Push Presses with weight so 33# for me there. In total I got in seven reps.

10 Push Press (115#/65#)
10 KB Swings (1.5 pd/1 pd)
10 Box Jump (24″/20″)

Maybe there’s something good coming tomorrow.
